Did England really win World Cup?

England were crowned world champions for the 1st time in men's cricket history after they beat New Zealand in the thrilling World Cup 2019 final at the Lord's Cricket Ground.
Scorecards, somtimes, don't tell you the entire story, the say. It's entirely true for the World Cup 2019 finals as New Zealand realised that cricket is a game of minute details. New Zealand posted 241/8 in 50 overs. England finished with exactly the same total but were all-out in their quota of 50 overs.
Inspite of losing lesser wickets the match was tie.9E8FE8AF-C30F-45B2-9A59-49ABA3236A8F.jpeg

None the less match went to super over, where both teams scored 15. This was still a tie.
However, England was declared as winner because they scored more boundries. It is being criticised that the world cup winners should not be decided on the basis of boundaries. At first the match wasn’t a tie. NZ lost less wickets so they were the winners
