What is wealth?

This question has challenged people through the centuries.

If you have a suitcase full of $100 bills and you are stranded in the woods with a friend who has a lighter, who has the wealth. The $100 bills have value now for their ability to burn, not for their face value. The lighter becomes the number one commodity to have. Even more clear would be the person who has food.

Let's just pretend that our money becomes useless. The money in your bank account the money you saved under your bed for years, all of it is now worth nothing. What could you have that would make you wealthy? Now we are forced to think about what we use our money to buy. We use our money to keep the power on, to fill up our cars with fuel, and to buy food. Say you happen to have some chickens at your house. You now have a new currency called eggs. You can use those eggs to trade for all kinds of needs. Wealth changes with times and needs of the people around us.

Wealth in the simplest understanding is, "having what others want at the time they want it."

If you can find a way to add the most value in the room to the people and the time, you will become wealthy.
Even better, find something you're passionate about and you add value to others and this sets you up to become more wealthy then you dreamed possible.
