Canton Texas Mile Wide Wedge Tornado VLOG (Rustic Barn Wedding Venue)

A mile wide wedge tornado with a preliminary EF3 rating, as well as multiple other tornadoes killed 5 people and injured at least 50 in Canton, TX on Saturday April 29th, 2017.

The following video is a VLOG of Storm Tracker Aaron Jayjack's encounter with the wedge tornado that destroyed a wedding venue called the Rustic Barn, and a Dodge car dealership in Canton, Texas. Some of the footage scene was captured a few hundred feet from the entrance of the Rustic Barn moments before it was destroyed.

Aaron's chase started on 04-28-2017 where he looselychased a questionable event as a cold front approached Texas and Oklahoma. The chances of storms were not very likely with a strong inversion cap in place in the atmosphere that prevents storms from firing. After hanging out all day in SW Oklahoma, Aaron eventually bailed on the chase and stayed the night in Chickasha Oklahoma, to prepare for Day 2 in Texas. Aaron awoke to 40 degree temperature's in Chickasha as the cold front had moved in. Aaron traveled back south into Texas and prepared for storms to fire just east of Dallas Texas. Eventually storms fired on a gravity wave south east of Dallas. Multiple tornadoes impacted the Canton Texas area on 04/29/2017. This VLOG captures the events surrounding the mile wide wedge tornado that destroyed a car dealership east of Canton, TX, as well as a popular wedding venue called the Rustic Barn where a Prom was supposed to be held the night of the tornado.

The wedge tornado is seen from just 500 feet away from the Rustic Barn wedding venue, a unique perspective and angle of the storm not seen in other videos. Aaron narrowly escaped the tornado as it charged at him with vengeance.
