Since the time I have landed in Mumbai I am seeing hazzy skies all the time, be it day or night, there is so much smog all the time in the sky that beyond a point the visibility is also lost. During the afternoon time it gets a little better but still there is smog and there is no visibility. After reaching here in 2 days only I started having this throat irritation and since then have been down with throat infection and cough, which has been so irritating and ruining my stay here in the city. I am not able to get a restful sleep at night because of the cough which leaves me in a zombie state during day times.
Well, it's the weather playing it's part and at the same time pollution is also playing it's role. Sometimes the haze gets very dense and murky and that is quite worrisome. Even last winter it was the same. Right now there are two factors playing a major role for this haze, one is the weather, mumbai's air has high moisture content, which causes aerosols to swell and get trapped in the air and this is creating the haze and the other is the pollution. Over the last few years there have been so many high rises come up in the city and they are so close to each other, the air is getting trapped and with it the pollution also which is making a worrisome situation. There is a lot of construction work also going on in the city so even the dust from that is adding up to it.

This is what happens when we do not balance our lives with nature.
