Is hurricane season starting early this year, or is this just a freak storm? Presently my country is on storm watch as what appears to be a tropical wave, developed into a Tropical Storm engulfs my little island country. With any luck, it won't get as bad as the met-office predicts and blow over in no time, for now, I have my supplies stocked and I'm prepped for the worse.
What's the plan? Curl up inside with a cup of hot coffee and play league of legends till the power goes out! I hope it doesn't develop into a hurricane, despite our location, Trinidad hasn't been hit by a hurricane in decades, since 1963, in fact. After that, Hurricane Ivan barely threatened to make landfall in 2004, luckily we were spared. In fact. it's a common saying in Trinidad that we get spared from hurricanes because "God is a Trini!"
I hope this Storm we're having is not an indicator that the hurricane band has moved further south, putting us smack in the path of developing hurricanes as they make their way through the Caribbean. I also pray that this year, people are able to prepare for the upcoming Hurricane season and minimize casualties around the world. Have a great evening world and keep steeming!!
