Japan's METI Seeks Companies for 2025 Web3 and Blockchain Digital Public Goods Demonstration Projects

The Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) of Japan has initiated a call for companies to participate in the "2025 Demonstration Projects Utilizing Web3.0 and Blockchain to Construct Digital Public Goods." The initiative aims to identify and conduct demonstration experiments across five key themes: issuance and circulation markets for physical and intangible assets, information platforms for resource circulation systems, establishment of rights management systems and rules for portrait rights in the sports industry, development of guidelines for content intellectual property protection, and formulation of guidelines for Web3.0-based regional revitalization and related population creation projects. The application period is from June 3 to June 26, ending at 17:00.
