Looks great, but I'd be concerned about having the word "dollar" in the name at all.

well it will replace the "current dollar" in the future ;)

There were concerns from the public about this fact in one of the WebDollar presentation. Being an open source project I dont think it will have any problem in the future. We will see :)

There won't be any problem. Dollar (often represented by the dollar sign $) is the name of more than twenty currencies, including those of Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Liberia, Namibia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, and the United States.

So what sort of mining applications exist for this then? If it is resistant to GPU or ASIC mining, then what are we looking at? Is this an opportunity for some dual mining to happen on existing rigs built for GPU mining??

Yes, there are folks that use the GPU to mine other stuff and CPU to mine WebDollar for example on the same machine. You just have to be sure you won't keep your processor up to 100% al the time. There isn't any mining application for it. Just open your browser and there you have it, you are mining. For full nodes of the network you can find the scripts on their github.

CPU mining, yeah I heard that some people dual mine CPU + GPU, but I'm not sure how that works.

Is it in testmode or live? In any exchange?

It is live, but as I said in the article they didn't raise any funds and they neither are an ERC20 token. I precognize that it would be added to an official exchange by the end of this month, after they finalize the pools. Team is working really hard to develop the mining pools and right after this the exchange will have place.
For the moment you can trade it in the community telegram users and you can find a lot of trused middle men. The price varies from 100-200 $ for 100,000 WEBD. It is really low if you ask me.

Hello @dragonplan, feel free to translate it and share it with the chinesse friends. Thank you for the kind words about the article! :)
There is actually a WebDollar Chinesse community build on QQ application of around 1000+ members, I'm not sure if you are aware of its existence, maybe you can connect with the guys from there.
