PUTTING THE RIGHT PRICE TAG TO YOUR SKILLS

Sometime last year I charged $1,000 for a $10,000 job and yet the client was unreasonably pissed.

They wanted everything! Facebook ads, Youtube Ads, Email ads. They even wanted ads on every car in the world if possible. The problem was they didn't have any content, videos, landing pages, banners and they didn't know how they wanted to go about these.

It took me 2 months of hard work to put these things in place but the client wanted results IMMEDIATELY!

I learnt a bitter lesson; Building from scratch costs more than maintenance.

Dear Entrepreneur, learn how to charge properly for the building phase of a project. Therein lies the most work!

Someone else can be employed to maintain what you charged a penny to build!

Say no to that voice that tells you I will make money off maintenance. It is the devil ooo.

Put systems in place to determine how much work will be done on a new project. Get rid of demon possessed clients (You always know these ones)

Ensure your client knows what he/she wants. If not, help them determine it (Charge appropriately for this too) before you start or walk away.

My strategy this new year is to make sure we (Client and I) have a strategy, then CHARGE APPROPRIATELY. No more nigbati nigbati.

If it is one job I do throughout the year, it will be worth it

In case you didn't know, I am a full-stack developer; I build websites ,web apps and mobile apps too. Asides that, I'm also a Search Engine Optimization professional

I pray my new found love for cryptocurrencies doesn't steal me away totally from all these this year.

So the long and short of this post is, HAVE SENSE! Ok?
