Tessy was looking around for the waiter, I need three more shots of whatever strong stuffs they have here she thought,
She looked at the intending couple to be laughing together.
Her chest hurts just hearing his laughter knowing she can never be with him. She will never be the one to carry his unborn children

She thought it was a sign when he came back after she pushed him away that they were meant for each other.
Weeks passed but he went for her best friend(violet).
She held hope that he will change his mind and come back for her. But that hope was dashed when he popped the question.
Now they are getting married tomorrow.

"will the maid of honour like to say a few words"
She froze with the glass of champagne halfway to her lips .

"As if losing Vincent wasn't bad enough now I have to smile and act like the loving chief brides maid that I am"

"I just want to go home. This party should end already"

Walking up to the stage. Spying Vincent and Violet huddled together at one end. He looked so handsome in a grey suit.
She can deny they looked so good together.
But Vincent is not making it easy for her,every time he smiled at her,or called her name or gave her even a gentle hug. Her heart almost gives way.

"I love to make a toast to Vincent and Violet may your marriage shine brighter than the stars cheers"

She quickly rushed out the engagement party calling an uber to take her home so she can drown her sorrows in alcohol.
Thank heavens she got the Abuja job so she can leave Edo city forever after the wedding tomorrow.

       I regret pushing Vincent away
       I thought it was a way to make him love me and come back 
       I have to go away to save my face before  I do something I'll regret more.
