in wedding •  7 years ago  (edited)

in my first post i will tell you about my wedding ceremony experience. This wedding ceremony held in javanese tradition. There are some ceremony like pengajian (for moeslem), SIRAMAN (bridal shower), MIDODARENI, AKAD, PANGGIH, and WEDDING RECEPTION. Now i would like to post about PENGAJIAN.

PENGAJIAN
Pengajian is activity that held for pray to god before the wedding ceremonies held, so there is nothing bad will happen during the ceremonies. Pengajian only held if the bride and groom is moeslem (maybe for other religion there is other or same ceremony but different name). In PENGAJIAN there is someone who lead the ceremony, we call it ustadz (if the leader man) or ustadzah ( if the leader woman) they will lead us to read Al-Quran together untill finish. In this pengajian we also take water for siraman (which is take form 7 places) take the water in the midle of the area and pray for the water too. IMG_7902.JPG
