Wednesday Walk - 2 days late - A Wintery Driveway view

Plowed but not forgotten

I actually did take these pictures on Wednesday, just was not upto processing them until today. So I kind of missed #wednesdaywalk. Oh well life will go on. I did however have fun with the processing. These were all handheld, and this is by far the largest panoramic number of images I have yet to put together, I had to break it up do two seperate panos, then stitch them together, and it worked.

The exit view of the driveway, no pano for this one.

Our plow guy had to bring in his front end loader and move some of the snow back and out of the way, he was running out of places to put it. Here is what the pile looks like at my secondary parking spot, used when he is here to plow the snow. Not sure if we will get another snow or not, but most likely will, and we will likely have snow on the ground in spots until mid may.

#wednesdaywalk is a tag used by @tattoodjay where he challenges us to get out and do a short walk. Here is his post for the week and the rules.

I was late this week, I hope I won't be next week. If you have never visited the wednesdaywalk tag, you should, there are people from all over the world sharing their little corner with us.

That is a really incredible panoramic! You are getting very good at those. And that's also a really incredible amount of snow. After seeing your snow piles I'll quit feeling sorry for myself!

We were kind of shocked when a front-end loader was coming down our drive, but when it got closer we could see it was our plow guy, he said he needed to make room for the next snowfall, he was running out of places to push it up.

Good for him! My plow guy has already told me that he is probably tearing up my side lawn by pushing the snow back there. I told him I was not in the least bit worried, because I've seen him come every spring that he has been doing my drive with a truck load of black dirt and a bag of grass seed and fix all the scrapes and holes that he has dug with the plow.

Now that's a good plow guy.

We were trying to remember the other day how long he has been doing my driveway and I know it's over 15 years but I'm not exactly sure how many it is. He does a great job

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk, I just have rules and not guidelines so it is not a problem if its a couple of days late

Love the photos but hate the snow. I'd assume you were in the northeast based on those piles but this year has seen some of the white stuff in areas typically not known for snow.

I forgot to mention in the post Alaskan Driveway. so many people we often forget where they are when they show a scenery type shot. I often wonder where people took a picture when it is not real obvious.

Now that you mention it I do recall you being in Alaska. Haven't been there yet but can't wait to visit the state.

Howdy sir bashadow! Hey when the snow plow guy has to bring in a front end loader you know you have alot of snow! looks like you guys have a super long driveway away from the road, that's super nice.

We still get an occasional -- oops wrong driveway --- turn around person. Not often, I am just glad I do not need to remove the snow myself, to dang old for that any more.

howdy again tonight sir bashadow! Yes sir, I heard that. That would be a part time job removing all that snow unless you had the big equipment to do it!
