My Wednesday Walk to the Chasms

I met my brother to have a walk in the chasms at High Tor in Matlock Bath in Derbyshire, UK. The area is popular for rock climbing but there's also 3ft wide chasms in the limestone rock.

Obviously, we ignored the notices saying 'keep out' and hopped over the fence. Well ..... more like staggered. I don't recommend it though but we are both idiots.

My brother looks like Indiana Jones in this photo minus the bull whip!

I did venture further along than my brother but I eventually decided to turn back as I have no sense of direction. I had visions of the mountain rescue team coming to find me.

I actually thought this sign said 'to the bum'. On closer inspection I realised some of the sign had broken off and it should read 'to the summit'. Anyway, I have no head for heights so went home. 😊

    I to would have jumped the fence and gone and checked out those chasms, I am glad you didnt go to far and get lost and in need of rescuing

        I wonder if someone who looks fatter the park saw that as well and thats why the sign hasn’t been repaired :)
