For my #wednesdaywalk I went for a ramble on Stanton Moor, Derbyshire, UK to see the Nine Ladies Stones Circle from the Bronze Age. It is a popular walk and tourist attraction.
Druids and pagans occasionally celebrate summer solstice here. There are actually ten stones but one has fallen over and embedded itself in the ground many years ago.
I also saw the Cork Stone which is made out of sandstone. The weather has eroded it to the shape it is today. It stands approximately 15ft high. You can climb it but I'm not that stupid!
A short but interesting walk.

Interesting hand holds that have been added to the Cork Stone.

Yes and you can see where everyone has put their feet as they've scrambled up. In my younger days I might have given it a go but not now 😊.
