HAVE THE ROSES FLOWERED YET? #WEDNESDAYWALK + #MAKEMESMILE

Good day to all my friends here at #wednesdaywalk, big shout out to @tattoodjay for giving us this avenue to express ourselves.

Finally a dry morning here in Upstate NY. The sun is trying so hard to come out but the dang clouds keep blotting it out. But it's NOT raining now so here we go. Looking for the first blooming of my roses.

The miniature roses are usually the first to bloom, which as of this morning the theory holds true. MY FIRST bloom of the growing season.

But right next to the red one, these cute little yellow ones popped also.

Time to check the long stem roses, buds anyone?

Oh man, now that #makesmesmile, these long stem roses were just planted in very early spring just this year. They are called sub-zero roses and can tolerate, as the name suggests, below zero temps

Stopping by the pond, I noticed our waterlilies have made it to the surface, lookin good, soon we'll have these beautiful big pink and white floating flowers

Ok, I am smiling @elizacheng, growing flowers, veggies and fruit truly has been a passion of mine forever. When I was very young my great-grandmother introduced me to gardening, been in LOVE ever since. There is so much beauty in #nature that it cannot be ignored, it should be revered, enjoyed and shared.!

Having trouble with slugs eating your sunflowers? A little tip, place a half filled can of beer around the flowers, the slugs love the stuff, creep into the can and die, they don't know when to say WHEN

Time to check the progress of our little baby robins. The three little blue eggs were first discovered in the nest about two weeks ago.

So excited to find them, I was #smiling all day long

Happy to see how well they are doing.

So nice seeing your first roses and cool colors of them, My Dad used to pit a little beer on a saucer to stop slugs I think don’t know how effective it was but I saw him do it each seasons so maybe it does work

My Dad was a great Gardener and had a green thumb, Its not something I have done well with but when we move I am considering at least setting up a small flower garden and trying my hand at it :)

PLEASE go for it, there is so much enjoyment and healthy benefits to #gardening

Subzero roses... Oh... They won't freeze under that kind of cold weather... Tough flowers. Glad all these are making you smiling all day. Here's a !tip for you! 😉
