My post this week which is the first for #wednesdaywalk for a very long time due to all sorts of reasons. Our local village which is more of a town but is officially a village has right in the middle of it a windmill.
I have intended to photograph it for a long time. Recently it was renovated and looks quite good in the sunshine. We are enjoying an unbelievable winter. When moving to the Mediterranean I expected warm sunny winters and got wet windy cold winters. Until this year. We have had hardly any rain at all. The farmers hate it but I reckon it's our turn this year.
The windmill was originally for pumping water out of the ground for farming. As the village expanded the farmland disappeared so it fell into disrepair.
I was actually shopping on this day, we usually walk for almost everything these days so I reckon it counts as a #Wednesdaywalk
Other than the shops the windmill is all I took pictures of.
How cool is that windmill and great to see it from various angles
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :)
