Wednesday Walk

#Wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

I was hopeful that I could enjoy a bit of time outdoors this morning. But there was rain in the weather forecast and there were clouds in the sky as the sun came up.

image

Just outside the door I saw that the first daffodils were beginning to come up. Years ago I planted 150 daffodil bulbs around the yard and each year they provide me with springtime beauty. And the deer do not eat them, which is an added bonus!

image

It didn't take long before all of the patches of blue in the sky were covered with thick clouds.

image

And then the rain started to come down.

Great pic of the daffodils

Thanks! Spring is coming!

The coming to life of the daffosils is the moments deel more energetic and less tired

I wish I could grow tulips, but the deer find them and eat them off to the ground every time. So daffodils it is!

Tulpsoort we are good with Those hahahah, the deer dont they like daffodils or are they poiseness?

They don't like the taste of daffodils, but they are like heat-seeking missiles when it comes to tulips! Even if I plant them in pots up on my front porch they will come up there to eat them during the night!

Its the smell and color i think , here we dont have deer, but alot of mols, so i use special pots for in the ground they Cannot eat the bulbs

That's a good idea. I have had squirrels dig up the bulbs and take a bite out of them. All these creatures should work on learning to appreciate looking at beauty and not eating it!

love seeing the daffodils, winter is finally over!

It does seem like it has been a rough winter for many of us! I am happy to begin seeing signs of spring!

Nice post!
The last picture with the water drops and ripples is the best. Thanks for sharing your Wednesday walk :)

Thanks so much! I was getting wet taking that one!

I hope you got your umbrella with you.

I didn't have, but the pond is very close to the house, so I only got a little wet!

Love the daffodils bulbs peaking through the surface.

They are blooming everywhere here. One more thing to smile about. :)

Daffodils make me smile, too!

What a bummer. But at least you managed to spend a little time outdoors. I am sure more of such days are on their way. Spring will be here soon.

Temperatures are beginning to get warmer! I can't wait to be able to have my morning cup of tea out on the back porch!

Patience! You will be able to do that soon! :-)

It must be so rewarding to see the daffodils budding every year!

I planted them thinking of the future and knowing they would spread and bloom for years to come!

That’s a lot of daffodils they must make the garden so colorful when they come up

Stay warm and dry

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk !tip

It is the one time of the year that my yard has very much color. Once the leaves come on the trees it's so shady that I have a hard time getting anything to grow. Thanks for the tip!

the start of spring with new colors coming out is perhaps my favorite time of year,
and your welcome with the tip just a token of thanks for joining the walk

nature, beautiful photography. very brilliant shot. thanks for share.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Hi...My friend, is spring coming ?, and once again priceless natural beauty has shown extraordinary beauty
Thankd for this

Spring is coming! The snow is almost all melted, and the temperatures are beginning to get warmer. I am looking forward to spending more time outdoors.

Woow snow ... back again I reminded my child who likes snow, it must be very fun

I can only congratulate enjoy

Thank you!

Great flare in the first shot :)

Thanks! I liked that one!

Looks like spring is arriving at your end of the world. Daffodils are wonderful. I hope you're going to post some photos when they bloom.

The best part is that the deer don't eat them! They bring the most color to my yard... Once the trees get their leaves it is hard to get flowers to grow in the shade.

That last shot of the raindrops on the lake is lovely and sums up the weather you were having. Your daffs are going to look fab when the bloom. Ours have been out for weeks already due to the unusual weather we have had recently.

Thank you! So far we have not had any of that on seasonably warm weather. It's been kind of a normal old fashioned cool wet spring. Who's to say what we're in store for in the next few weeks though!

We had a mini heatwave about three weeks ago and people were sunbathing in Feburary!? Got the plants of to an early start I guess.

Is all your snow gone already?! Wow, lucky! It looks like a nice day for a walk, clouds or no.

The snow disappearing pretty quickly here, now, but there's still plenty of crusty, dirty snow in places.

It is 50 degrees and sunny out there today and I expect this will pretty much melt the last of it. I hate those big dirty snow piles that we're left with in the spring.

That yard of yours much get pretty colorful then you must post a couple of photos when they have all bloomed you must be happy that the snow is finally gone and starting to warm up !!

Howdy Melinda! Well, at least the snow and ice is gone. Wow I heard on the news tonight about flooding almost everywhere because of the heavy snow winter. Any of that going on up there?

The river is in flood stage, but that is not unusual when the snow melts. I've seen it much worse other years.

Howdy Melinda! oh ok, well you guys should be fine at least in your area. How's it going today?

A friend just came by and brought lunch from Panera.
We had a good visit and a good lunch, too! She just left, in plenty of time for me to listen to @Pennsif s radio interview with the guys from Steemit!

howdy Melinda! oh that's a wonderful day so far! the rest of the day you can just cruise along!

It's 50 degrees outside right now! I think I need to go out on the deck for just a little while before I begin making more comments!

Howdy Melinda! oh yeah, if it's sunny you gotta enjoy that part of the day for sure! it was 80 degrees here today.

80....perfect! There was enough of a breeze that 50 felt pretty chilly, so I didn't stay out long. I was remembering that when we had the convertible Jim and I would go for a ride with the top down on the first 50 degree day of the season just to celebrate spring! Well we did have seat warmers, and the heater going, but it was still a celebration!😃
