I use marijuana, legally for medical reasons! I didn’t start using until I was in my late 30’s after it was suggested by a pain management doctor.
I also live in Metro Vancouver, a HUGE 420 culture… 420VANCOUVER.COM will show that there are hundreds of thousands of people who go to Vancouver for April 20. I have never been, personally…
I don’t know ANYONE who has not tried marijuana at some point (doesn’t mean they still use, but they have tried! (OK, maybe my VERY Catholic Grandparents before they died)
Marijuana has allowed me reduce the amount of prescription medication from 8 down to 3 in the last year.
I have Fibromyalgia, Mental Health Issues, and some other things like Hypothyroid.
I have been able to stop using anxiety medications like clonazepam and lorazepam. And I did it during some of the most difficult anxiety moments of my life, while my Dad was dying, passed away and all the firsts (he died June 2016).
I have weaned off Lyrica and Cymbalta, that was used for managing my Fibromyalgia and depression. Lyrica is an anticonvulsant and Cymbalta is a very difficult to wean off anti-depressant. Cymbalta lawsuit settlement | Fed Up with Fatigue has information on a class action lawsuit, because of how hard it is!
I no longer take medication for IBS or migraines. (Some of this was diet changes and a Hysterectomy, some of my migraines were hormonal)
Even better, I don’t need to deal with the side effects of these medications!!!
Marijuana eases the relentless pain I deal with daily.
It helps me manage symptoms like daily nausea.
It helps me sleep, something I have always struggled with but got worse with Fibromyalgia.
It allows me to get things done, and then really “relax” to help recover faster
Marijuana handles the migraines I do still get (not nearly as often or as severe)
Like anything that alters your response time or perception needs to be handles responsibly, same as drinking (I don’t drink)… don’t toke and drive! Wait it out, it won’t last too long!

A broad survey of the scientific literature leaves us with the follow list of conclusions about the health effects associated with smoking cannabis:
Full Spectrum Hydro LED grow light bulb best for medical veg & bloom
Overall, the negative effects of smoking cannabis on lung health appear to be lower than for tobacco smoking.
Cannabis smoking is associated with lung function abnormalities, but the pattern of these abnormalities is different from those associated with tobacco smoking.
Regular cannabis smoking can cause physical airway damage, and is associated with the symptoms of bronchitis.
Secondhand cannabis smoke exposure leads to impairments in cardiovascular function.
There is no compelling evidence that cannabis smoking leads to obstructive airway disease of emphysema.
A limited number of high-quality studies have failed to find a link between cannabis smoking and lung or upper airway cancers for occasional or moderate consumers.
There is mixed evidence for increased cancer risk in heavy, long-term cannabis smokers.
More research, especially on whether smoking cannabis can lead to lung or other cancers, is desperately needed.
Alternative methods of cannabis consumption, such as vaporization, do not carry many of the risks associated with smoke inhalation.
Smoking weed is both good and bad, it depends on the state of mind of the user, length of use, amount of use, whether it effects ones ability to function, to earn a living , to function in a relationship, some people are able to handle it and some people are not, it has the ability to alleviate pain no doubt but in the wrong hands it can and does ruin lives, not everybody knows when they are doing themselves harm unfortunately or maybe they do but the addiction is stronger than their defenses, most people knock it on the head eventually for one reason or another, the older wiser mind isn't as suited to impairment as the younger inexperienced one, Yeah I smoked industrial amounts of it in my day but at this stage I couldn't be bothered, too much to do, I have one drink before my dinner in the evening, a double measure of spirits in some sort of a cocktail, a mild relaxant followed by a good meal, then I log on and get cracking, Good luck with it anyhow !
