The UFO took me to another planet

I guess you missed the Green Friday sale they just had where they were doing a maple MFLB, a Monocle MD, an Orbiter, and a finishing grinder, all for $200. I spent $500+ piecing all of that together over the years. Considering the way they’ve treated me over warranty issues, I was actually a little angry lol.

The only thing they didn’t include was a power adapter, which I consider necessary for loving both machines, and definitely necessary for the MD(batteries barely get it hot.)

Yeah, it's a little sad that they've begun limiting their famous "unlimited lifetime warranty". I assume it's because people were abusing it but if people were abusing it they could've just decided to warranty based on a case by case bases. I heard the power adapter was really nice but I've heard many reports of them breaking very easily.

The key is to get a 2.0 like I have instead of the 2.1. They’re pretty and wooden with a THC molecule burned into the wood on the rheostat, and unlike the 2.1, they have the same warranty as the box. Most of the shops around here that sell the PA, sell 2.0’s for usually $75-80 as opposed to the $50-60 a 2.1 fetches. It’s worth the extra little bit for that warranty. That being said, I’ve never had any PA issues, and I have both. But I don’t really use my 2.1. I only got it because I ordered my Muad Dib while they were doing a deal where they were offering either batteries or a PA with any LB or MD for $120. I figured I’d get a second PA because it was a better deal, and it leaves me with something to use if I ever have to send the 2.0 in for warranty. I already have 6 next to brand new batts that I never use anymore. If I actually want to vape outdoors I use my Pax 3. Luckily in the winter that isn’t very often.

Also, as far as the warranty is concerned, they got worried because it came out on FC and Reddit that the machines are exactly the same except for the screens and lids, and that if one is careful when removing the screen from their broken MFLB(assuming a screen tear is really the issue, which it usually is,) they can order Muad Dib screens and use them in their “broken” MFLB.

Now I know that a few people have done this. For sure. I’ve actually seen one in person. But I actually ordered my MD from the Magic Flight site about 2 weeks after learning this. My first warranty box will be a Metatron’s Cube in Black Walnut because I called them to ask when it would be available again, they said not to expect it for a few months, I bought a maple box from a dispensary, and they went on sale along with like every other design they said they didn’t have for $85 a week later. Had I known that the box I wanted would be available in a week, for cheaper, of course I’d have waited. So they agreed to do that for me.

So I actually have incentive to warranty my box, and I still didn’t do it. I think that their biggest problem is that they let Reddit and FC be their “official forums” with unpaid mods, and they stay completely uninvolved. They could’ve kept their proprietary secrets if they’d wanted to...
