The primary difference between live resin and cured resin extracts is the starting product being wet or dry. For live resin the starting material is chopped straight from the plant and frozen right away to preserve the terpenes within the plant. Then it is extracted and typically has a different texture and a lighter color than cured resin extracts, most are sugary or have crystals soaked in terpenes it can also come in batter buttery texture. For the cured resin extracts the plant it dried and cured fully before extraction and usually come in forms of shatter, butter or sometime a wet sugary consistancy. Both have different taste to them cured concentrates usually taste how the dried plant smells and live resin usually taste more of the fresh plant that's still growing!
Pictured is a example of a (live resin) extract, with terpenes soaking thc-a crystals.
