The Strain

XJ-13 is an evenly weighted California hybrid with an incredible smell. A cross between G13 Haze and Jack Herer, XJ-13 is one of the best tasting buds I’ve ever had. Spicy and citrus with a strong dank aroma, both the smell and the taste are equally satisfying.

The unique flavor belongs to a very pretty flower. I was almost all the way with my approval, just had to vouch for the high. And I did. A well balanced strain that delicately walks the line between look, taste, and high.

The Flower

The first thing that struck me was the smell. As soon as I opened the jar my nose was bombarded with a delicious and complicated aroma. The scent was sharp with hints of citrus and pine. Also some sweet and slight spicy notes.

The flower is very lush. The lime green bud sparkled with crystals and was covered in red hairs. I picked up my XJ-13 from Hollywood High Grade in LA. The weed burned cool and smooth. I got the same spice and citrus on the inhale, but ended up with a funky dank flavor once I blew it out.

The High

The high is exactly what you want from a hybrid. A metal kick accompanied by a soothing body high. I used my glass pipe and it hit me right away. I found it therapeutic and potent. Euphoria filled my mind as my limbs buzzed with delight. It was strong weed and I was done after about three hits. Once I settled into the high I found this very good for conversations or anything creative. Uplifting and social.

Recommendation

I really like XJ-13 and give it a 4.7 / 5.0. It’s parents collaborate so well to create a really unique hybrid. The high is great and the flower is very attractive, but the standout feature is the smell. It has been know to removes stress, anxiety, and depression. Good for a day out or to catching up with an old friend.
