There are many ways to consume weed but two of the most popular ways are smoking and eating edibles. Even though both of these ways will get you high, the highs for each are very different. Edibles hit much harder and are a lot harder to pace because the effects do not kick in until 30 minutes to an hour after you ingest it. With smoking, you get weaker effects, but the effects are immediate. Smoking makes it easier to measure how high you get because you know how much you have had the moment you take the hit.
Edibles also have a much more psychedelic high. Hallucinations are common after eating edibles. With smoking, hallucinations can happen but they are much rarer (usually hallucinations happen from smoking when you smoke a lot after not having smoking for a while before). THC wax is another story even though it falls under smoking, it is comparable to edibles. Edibles are good if you dont want the smell and you have a good place to just chill.

Edibles don't even work on me half the time! I definitely prefer to just smoke or vape flower and concentrates.

Edibles can be hit or miss because the THC content in each edible batch isnt uniform in the food. This means that sometimes you have a larger or smaller THC quantities for different parts of the whole brownie tin or whatever and sometimes you just get a bad pick! I had 1/3rd of a 250 mg brownie and it shlapped me lol. Smoking is nice because its immediate and it will for sure work.
