Thank you for your comments. I think it is a different approach people are doing these fad diets that promise them weight loss but only harms there bodies in the long run. I want people to enjoy food and eat more of the right foods to lose weight. I agree there has been a lot of research done on Intermittent dieting and the benefits. The question I ask all my patients are
- Will you be able to do this type of the diet for the rest of your life? answer usually is not
- The second question I ask is would you recommend this type of diet to your children? usual answer is no.
I agree besides the Huntington post article there has been several studies about eating the proper foods often for better blood sugar stabilization and in turn weight loss.
I definitely see some of your points are valid and I think we have to start somewhere if we are serious in battling this obesity epidemic.
