My upvote is worth exactly $0.00. Is this right?
I want to upvote so much weird stuff out there but after waiting until 100% voting power I still can't give out any love. Not sure what the point is. Is the only way to get upvote power to give steemit money? I thought the whole point was steemit would give you money.
When people have less than a certain amount of steem their vote does not have much value. Less than $0.001, as you get rewards and power it up into steem then your vote becomes more valuable. Around 50SP is where your vote starts to be worth $0.010, a penny.
After 7 days any votes you recieve or any curation votes you gave will go into your wallet, from there you convert your SBD's into Steem, and power them up into SteemSP, and then your vote will become more valuable.
When you get your first reward payouts here is a very useful link on how to convert it to Steem Power:

@doinita had pretty much the same question as you, and that was what I informed her.
If you want your vote power to go up, then you need to power up your rewards. It takes a long time, well taking me a long time, my SP is about 330SP, that make my 100% vote worth about $0.070.

A very solid plan to build up STEEM (horrible pun) on your account.

Great picture to accompany your post. That's going to help you get noticed. I'm new as well, and very much still trying to figure things out. I feel my life experiences allow me to add value to others, but place it in categories almost feels limiting. Anyway, your post caught my eye and I give you two thumbs up for creativity, as well as asking a question that has substance for many users. If we want this network to grow, it's going to take more of this. Good work.

Just keep powering up, focus less on the short-term goals. Write stuff you think is cool and that people will like. Sometimes it gets going WAAAY after you created it. I wrote an article forgot about it and in one day it made $20. Took it all, powered up and kept moving
