I wrote an article on the war in Syria as I think all people around the world should know about what's happening there. Several hundred of thousands of people have been killed and it is at the moment the conflict that has generated most displaced persons in the world. Over half of Syria's population is displaced either as refugees in other countries or internally displaced in Syria.
My article is about the infighting that is currently happening in the oposition in Syria. It gives a hint of how complicated the situation in Syrias is.

Me and my (then) roommate made this video years and years ago. We've gone our separate paths, pursued other things, and now live in different places. We keep in touch, but we can't collaborate on ideas we have on a whim. We had a ton of fun (and grief) making this video, and I'm still proud as can be of it. This was before there was the content-industrial complex on the internet, so it didn't get out to the masses in the way that it should have. I think people as a whole would've really taken to it, had they had a chance to see it.

I joined Steemit to use as an outlet for tech theory and insights; I work at a big company as a software analyst and don't typically get to share my thoughts on trends outside of my (narrow but interesting) field.
So my first longer post ended up being a long think piece on the future of mental health technology. I penned my thoughts on why mental health tech hasn't kept up with physical health tech, and what will likely happen to make mental healthcare more accessible and monitorable on the consumer level.

Wow, this is a cool idea! After joining steemit a few days ago I've been thinking a good bit about my life and about the routine and apparent boredom it entails. Even though I am currently living in the beautiful island of Las Palmas in the Atlantic, surfing a lot, and working fairly little, I am still stuck in a routine.

My name is Raihana and I have an obsession with food , it's funny because I had major surgery 10 Yrs ago where they took my whole colon out and reconstructed my whole plumbing system! At this time I fell in deep depression as my youngest was only two and recovery was horrible and slow! I stared looking for something that would give me some hope and that I did with creating video tutorials on you tube! After 5 years I now have over 650 videos and over 55,000 subscribers! 3 weeks ago I had another major surgery where they found the opening of the small colon narrowed itself down to smaller then your pinky finger! I would go in the hospital every month with food obstruction! I am recovering much better but now I am blessed to be introduced with the steemit community! I want to spread my love of food and home cooking with each and everyone of you!

for me it's still a bit tricky cause my ENglish isn't that well but I am making the best of it :D
My first blog is about me, my business and why I started.
When I started it was so difficult. It still is but I know so much more and to bad I didn't had in the beginning the support that I have right now. I never lose...I either win or I will learn.
What I want to contribute in this World is to give girls, women, Transgenders more confident. I want to let them now that they are beautiful and they matter in this World. Through my make up and nails/nailart I put their strong features out there so people can see it.
Make up isn't always a mask. It can empower her. It can make her feel more confident. It can take away some things that she isn't happy about. But also depends who she is inside...cause if you put make up on and you are a different person then yes it's a mask but if it she stays true to herself then nothing in this World can stop her!!!
