Something so simple as a joke can lighten the mood or start a conversation in a tough situation. It can span gaps in personalities and charm the hearts of strangers. Challenge yourself to learn a new joke, practice the punchline and store it in your memory bank.
The more jokes you are able to remember and tell, the better chance you have at having the right joke at the right time in your arsenal. And let's face it, having the ability to make people smile, if only for a minute, is a power worth having and cultivating.
Smiling and laughing both come with spectacular energetic benefits! Smiling induces confidence, attracts others, lowers your heart rate, lowers your blood pressure and relieves stress. Laughing decreases stress hormones, improves your ability to fight disease and leaves muscles relaxed for some time after the laugh happened.
When you tell a joke, not only do you cause yourself to smile and or laugh, but you are giving these healing benefits to the people around you!
So, memorize a funny joke and tell it to as many people as you can and enjoy the smile that it brings to your face and to your soul.
