As a former founder of a franchisor, co-branding is something I am familiar with. As a former founder of a national franchise chain in the automotive services sector, we saw the benefits of bundling our services and co-marketing with customers. A few years ago, I was asked the question: Is it logical to add mobile detailing or on site detailing to my auto-service business? This is a great question, as people love mobile auto services. It also helps to keep all co-branding and marketing partners' businesses in the customers' heads.
Advertising an auto insurance company on the backside of flyers is one example. The name and phone number are omnipresent with customers as reminders or advertisements. An auto service company should hire a mobile detailer or work with an existing business to market their services. It might be a good idea to hire someone for both on-site detailing and for mobile service that goes to customers, each time taking a portion.
It is possible to create a deal that allows you to sign people up, and then they travel to the location. You can also rent additional space, bays, or tents out back, if you have one. You can hire people to work on your property. They will be paid per unit, percentage and you will make them independent contractors, renting the space under their name.
It's also a good idea to form an alliance with local businesses in your auto sector. Set up meetings at your place one morning a week with five to ten other entrepreneurs in the sector: audio installation, tire shop and tow company; auto insurance, auto sales company; auto leasing company; car rental manager; marine services. It's what we did, and it worked great. Your own leads club. Every company can share leads from their customers, and vice versa. This saves money on marketing and is the best real-world networking strategy.
While co-branding is a good idea if each business unit is your own, it's not a bad idea if they don't. A third strategy can be formed, such as branding your "auto service" association. Each member proudly displays their membership, which will increase credibility and create synergy. That's it for now. I hope you take the time to consider this information and reflect on it.
