#wetwednesday - - Number 5 - End of the Seasons

          Yesterday it rained like heck here. All day on Tuesday it was raining. For today, only a few sprinkles a few hours ago, just a light evening rain, not a tin roof pounding rain.

          The summer and fall season are over. We had some frozen water and Ice this morning. It was only 38 degrees Celsius by noon today. It did warm up into the mid 40's but I think those days are going away pretty quick for us. Over all it was a fairly nice end of summer and a pretty nice fall, even if the fall season was mostly rain we did have a few nice days.

          So to start the photos's off with here is a nice sunset captured at the Cohoe Beach. The picture was taken on 8-24, the mountain in the image is none other than Redoubt Volcano across the inlet.

          A few days later we went to get a few more early fall pictures from Bottenintnin Lake just outside of Sterling Alaska. Pretty easy to find it's the first lake on Skilak Lake road. The first image was taken on 8-28-2018, the second image is the same lake and the same general location for the picture, but taken on 2-28-2018 six months earlier. the sun is setting on fall and summer. Soon the lake will be frozen over again, and in Jan or Feb next year we will once again be able to walk out on it.

          So that is pretty much it for wet Wednesday, an inlet view and a liquid and frozen lake view. So to end it up, on the same day, 8-28, this little guy was trying to hide from the next batch of coming rain, either that or he was trying to hitch a ride back to sterling from Tern Lake area. Just thought I would add him in, the picture came out a lot better than I thought. Did not even use the macro lens because I did not have it with me.
