The "Pilu of Palu" (the melancholy of the Palu City)

Today we, all the people of Indonesia also feel their pain, after a great earthquake shock with a power of 7.4 on the richter scale which was soon followed by the onslaught of the tsunami that devastated much of Palu, hundreds of people lost their lives and thousands lost houses destroyed by earthquake shocks or tsunami waves

From reports circulating in various media, not only the Palu city was shattered, another city like Donggala city, with a population of more than 300,000 and was very close to the epicenter also suffered the same fate, but until now there has been no official report on damage to buildings and number of fatalities.

This was caused by the breakdown of the total communication network and the road access point was also cut off due to several roads having suffered severe damage due to earthquake shocks

We are Aceh people really understand their sadness, because far before, at the end of December 2004 we also felt the shock of a great earthquake and tsunami that destroyed the whole country with hundreds of thousands of people dead, with the largest number of victims being the people of Banda Aceh, followed by the cities of Meulaboh, Calang and many other cities.

Palu Grief is our sorrow too, and this is our risk of settling in an island nation that is vulnerable to earthquakes when there is a shift in the earth's plate, and this event will continue to repeat itself indefinitely

Hopefully events like this can be minimized in the future, even though earthquakes and tsunamis are a risk to people who live in island countries, at least minimizing casualties with more intense socialization so that people are better prepared and able to avoid when the earthquake and tsunami arrive so there are no more victims vain
