There are various foods that decorate the holy month of ramadan. One of them is a compote. This is my mother's real compact. I took a little in the kitchen, because I was too full because it was filled by a few pieces of cake.
Usually the compote is made of banana, maize and yams. there are several types of sweet potatoes as well. Sometimes there are also added other ingredients, depending on taste.
It feels very familiar on the tongue. Especially enjoyed after tarawih prayer. Very thick atmosphere of Ramadan.
Ada begitu banyak makanan yang menghiasi bulan suci ramadan ini. Salah satunya adalah kolak. Ini ada kolak buatan Ibu saya, sebenarnya. Saya ambil sedikit saja di dapur, sebab saya sudah terlampau kenyang karena sudah diisi oleh beberapa potong kue.
Biasanya kolak terbuat dari pisang, jagung dan ubi. Ada beberapa jenis ubi juga. Kadang ada juga ditambahkan bahan-bahan lain, tergantung selera.
Rasanya sangat akrab di lidah. Apalagi dinikmati sehabis salat tarawih. Sangat kental suasana bulan "ramadan-nya".
