One of the best ways to have your content found on Steemit is to provide accurate and meaningful Tag information.

The most common place for a Steemit user to add tag categories is in the Category Line.

But Steemit users can also add hashtags in a post. For example and #minnowsunite and #whalepower

But you still have to follow the 5 Tag Rule!

Notice the Steemit message I receive when I include 5 categories in the category line and 2 hashtags in the post - You have 7 total tags. Please use only 5 in your post and category line.

My advice

1. If you can find ways to incorporate hashtags in your post, then go for it.
2. Always make sure that you are usually relevant tags.
3. Always make sure that you are entering 5 tags for every post. 5 tags increase your post's exposure to more readers.
4. Make sure that you do not have extra spacing between tags in your category line. See more information in the following article. Steemit Error: Please use only 5 categories
