So the idea would be buying some bitshares at poloniex or other and sending to open ledger? Or maybe more worth send bitcoins and exchanging on open ledger?

    You can actually just send them straight to your OpenLedger/Bitshares account and continue from there. I will not promote centralized exchange like poloniex. :)
