Hi, Steemheads!

If you don't have Whaleshares yet and you are curious how to get started or you want to guide your friends to create their own accounts, you may use this post as reference.

Making an account is pretty easy and you can make it paid or free. I got this account for free, thanks to @krazykrista (of Whaleshares) for giving me the SIGNUPWLS for the signup process to get approved.

Whaleshares is a Graphene-based social media platform just like Steemit, it's a fork of Steemit. It lets you earn through content creation and curation as well. It has its own token with value, own set of rules, ToS, and own blockchain that we all should be aware of when you join the platform.

Here are the steps:

FIRST STEP:

You must have a Bitshares account. If you don't have any, you may make one following this guide: How to Create a Bitshares Account (The Easy Way)

SECOND STEP:

Join Whaleshares Discord here: https://discord.gg/RbX254

1. Go to the #new-account-support channel in their Discord server and ask politely @krazykrista for assistance, she can send you free 1 SIGNUPWLS token for the account creation, there are other means to make the account, she will be more than happy to assist you. Be nice to her at all time. ^_^

For my case, this is what I did.

THIRD STEP:

Then go to: https://newacc.wls.services/anonacc
Check if your username is available by filling out the first tab:

FOURTH STEP:

If available, continue to click: GENERATE RANDOM KEYS and SHOW ME THE MEMO

Make sure to copy the keys and take note of the MEMO, you need them all later.

FIFTH STEP:

You need to send the 1 SIGNUPWLS you got from @krazykrista to the Bitshares account: wls-acc

SIXTH STEP:

Go to your Bitshares Account and Send the SIGNUPWLS token to wls-acc.
Make sure to use the MEMO that was provided.

SEVENTH STEP:

Confirm the transaction to finally send it.

EIGHT STEP:

After a successful transfer of the token for registration, give it a minute and you may now login to: https://whaleshares.io/ with your Posting Key that you were provided in FOURTH STEP.
