Mechatronics is a multi-disciplinary field of engineering. It is so new that most of modern dictionaries do not recognize this word, including MS Word and this SteemIt Editor I am using. I completed my education in Mechatronics Engineering from a very prestigious institution of my country. After that I worked in the industry on many different roles. In this quick article below I will discuss few option related to this field and urge the upcoming students to take this field.

What is it?

Its study is made up of 3 phases. 1)In first phase basic mechanical and workshop technology is introduced to students. 2)In second phase, an electrical approach is taken to upgrade previously studied mechanical processes. 3)In third phase, computer programming is taught in the form of Assembly / C / C++ / Java for Microcontrollers and Desktop environment. Using these computer technologies, previously taught upgraded processes are automated.

Why take this?

In this fast paced and evolving technology era, sticking to a single technology soon gets deprecated. A person needs constant change. He/She needs to upgrade its skills for a constant evolving need to upgrade technology. In this scenario, an education involving all core engineering fields provide great benefit.

Future of Mechatronics?

Its future is bright and expanding. With the increase of Industrial 4.0 in industrial sector and IoT based devices in consumer sector, future of mechatronics engineering is on the rise.

Job Market and Entrepreneurship?

Job market is wide. Titles for jobs are given below: -Mechatronics Engineer -Systems Engineer -Product Developer -Embedded system designer -Automation Engineer and So On!

Majority of mechatronics engineers opt for Entrepreneurship. As it is easy for them to solve worlds problems using their knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Control. They are clear in their heads, how this product can come into existence.
