False light

I'm in a haze. Can't stay here and I can't walk away. Maybe in a future that isn't yet carved I will walk a straighter path and wish on bigger stars.

The sunset is a lie and the moon is like a broken black hole, only halfway capturing the world around it instead of swallowing it all whole.

I sit alone at 3a.m. Unable to breathe because theuniverse has stolen my breath from me, I sink into the madness that waited for me all night.

It feels like home. A doorknob glows.
