Will BitShares Bounce Back? What Three Things Would You Change About Their DEX?

in whats-life •  7 years ago  (edited)

I've always been a strong supporter for BTS and continue to be, this drop in price has simply opened up space for me to buy more, which I did.

BUT I'm not really too sure anymore. I mean, I got lucky and bought tons of it when it was trading at at 200 Satoshi's roughly. It was my biggest single coin trades to make my biggest profits. So I can say it has always done me well even when I posted and proved people wrong in their false analysis, did the BTS and Steem folks vote my post about BTS, heck no! They got regurgitated news and ghosts writers to vote for.

(pronounced Hey Zeus, a fun Mexican guy/gal telling people what to read.)

BTS has a place in the Cryptoshpere and I sincerely doubt its going to stay this low for much longer. There are many Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) on the rise and BTS is facing serious competition and I wonder if they know that. Of course they know but do they care? It's like their making enough writing posts about BTS on Steemit why do they need to work harder to make more when they are doing just fine now. I don't know, I speculate like everyone else who lost or was never issued a Crypto Crystal Ball of Sure Bets.

At the end of the day I do know the BTS leaders are working hard to market the DEX and an assortment of Tokens such as Hero Coins, which I guess is costing them a lot of money. Are they putting their efforts in the right places is what I want to know from the Steemit Community.

If you could Add, Remove, Alter or Change anything about the DEX what would it be?

I will share mine after some comments as I don't want my ideas to influence your thoughts but I got some.

Last minute pitch. Bitshares 3.0 on EOS.

hmm.. I will have to check it out.

I will have to update and give it a try.

I would suggest an easy to use "Simple Wallet" that hides all the complex features that BitShares offers to ensure new users aren't confused.

They get access to the exchange and can easily select the trading pairs they want to see.

Also remove the "Send" tab and combine it somehow into the "Deposit/Withdraw" tab.

There also needs to be an interactive tutorial that walks people through the setup process to include: (Used for both current wallets and simple wallets)

  1. How to deposit BTS and other cryptocoins
  2. How to deposit fiat (explain what gateways are)
  3. How to withdraw BTS and other cryptocoins
  4. How to access the exchange and explain the different types of assets
  5. How to execute a buy/sell order
  6. How to execute margin trades
  7. How to create a new account
  8. How to upgrade to a Lifetime-Member
  9. How to claim vested balances
  10. How to support the community

Implementing this type of support will greatly increase adoption.

Yea, it was quite a learning curve for me to figure it out.

My big change would be making the interface more user friendly.

Did you by any chance get a chance to read the article I wrote on BitShares? It's published here on Steemit.

I just read and upvoted it. It's clear article, kind of like an introduction to BTS.

Add Stealth transactions.

I agree with you.

I agree, I got two BTS accounts and it's not hard to see how I move from one account to another. But I think they are working on it. I heard, I say heard because I can't find the post ATM but they are working on it. I am not sure if a stealth transaction will pass the test of the soon regulations to come. Being stealth might ruin many coins in the near future as potential investors want more clarity and would never put a penny into something they can't track, seems reasonable if your about to put a significant amount of money in BUT on the flip side many would only put money if it was secret. Tough call but a good one.

You will have a choice. Send your money normally. Were everyone can see what your doing. Or you can have a steelth account. Choices are good IMO.

All of the talk in Strealth can be going in Telegram. Argorize has been set up in there by Kencode.

That's good for some people to know.

" It's like their making enough writing posts about BTS on Steemit why do they need to work harder to make more when they are doing just fine now."

It's important to understand that whatever earnings BTS make from steem are inconsequential, absolutely nothing, compared to the money they can earn by increasing their token value.

Dan Larimer is already a multimillionaire, and I'm sure many of his team are as well. What do they care about bringing in a few thousand bucks on steem in a week or two?

Well, I think they are making a lot more here then many think. But it's true raising the value of BTS should be much more profitable in trades. I put my BTS on the DEX and bought a lot of Yoyow's which is trading higher then when when I bought a month, like double last i checked. So I do hope the DEX makes me more then the low value of the bts coin. Hopefully i get a double whammy win trade, yoyow's goes up and bts goes. Sweet.

Stealth transaction , what are their roles?

Privacy.

Thanx for your reply.

make it more user friendly it looks way complex

yea, it's not the most user friendly place.

Thanks for the information sir.
