No, I'm afraid that it ONE example in 100,000's of posts, and it happened under a reward system that is no longer in effect, when Steemit first went operational... it really has zero bearing on what people "can" earn here.

Anyway. welcome to Steemit! If you post good quality content and become an active part of the community, you can earn from your posts... but mostly, it's less than $5.00.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

    Thank you very much ~ That is still pretty cool though even $1.00 a post is gracious ~ I post for free on Facebook to communicate and connect with people around the world ~ For the connection but to earn anything to connect with quality people is a pure bonus in my eye's ~ Have a good day my new friend~
