The world's most popular messaging app WhatsApp was recently introduced to the Delete for Everyone feature for all users. Do deleted messages actually disappear from the phone? A new report has claimed that deleted messages are also present on the device and they can easily be accessed later.
Spain's blog Android Zeffe has claimed that the deleted messages remain in the logs of the handset. It has been further told that the receiver will be able to easily read the message sent by the sender even after deletion. The blog said, "We found that messages are present in the notification system of the Android system, which means that you have to reach the notification record and you can read the deleted message."
It has been reported in the blog that any person can easily read the deleted message on whatsapp. For this it is necessary to download third party app notification history which is available on the Google Play Store. After downloading this app, the user will have to search the message in the Android Notification Log. This process is even easier for users who are already using third-party launcher such as Nova Launcher. Here you can use the notification log without any third-party app download. For this, keep the home screen for a long time. After this, execute the Widgets> Activities> Settings> Notification log process. You will now be able to access the system notifications log. Similarly it is possible to access the notification log through the Settings widget in stock Android.
