When Things Go Wrong, Pray!

I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, "Here am I, here am I". Isaiah 65:1

             When things go wrong, what is the first thing that you do? 

         When things go wrong, there are always those who question the existence of God.                                                 

                        Why this and that Lord?! Why? Why? Why?

          In the midst of the chaos of personal tragedy we hear their cry of distress:

             "If there is a God, why does He allow such things to happen?"

         Time and again God stands as the accused, as if He is simply allowing the tragedy to happen. God's love is denied and the sceptics flourish by using these arguments to drive people further and further away from God's protective love.

         God's immutable promise to His children has always been, and will always be, that if they only turn to Him in prayer, He will hear their voices and answer their prayers. Jesus promised in His Word in John 6:37, "Whoever comes to Me I will never drive away". 

         God challenges us and says, "Return to Me with all your heart". Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord you God" (Joel 2:12-13). 

        Whatever your worries, however desperate your situation, turn in sincere prayer to God and gratefully accept the guidance that He has promised. Let prayer be our daily routine in our every day life.Let us be a prayerful men and women!
