Running Out Of Space!

in wherein •  4 years ago

Greetings Steemians,

Today I'm bringing back the blurple lights.

I'm quickly running out of space and not happy about it, because I don't have a great plan, except for possibly purchasing a grow tent.

A grow tent isn't cheap, and will take up space in my apartment, but aside from giving away or killing plants, I'm not sure what else to do.

One thing is certain, the plants have reached maximum "share" space and will beging choking each other out now.

The main photo is the succulent.
It's starting to get shiny/waxy with pinkish stem growth. This is exactly what you want to see with this plant.

You will noticed the discreetly placed coardboard box which raises up the plant. I'm pretty proud of that clever placement.

This succulent is about 12 inches from the lights, which should prevent plant stretching.
After it adapts for about a week, we'll see if it begins to blush, if not I will move it 6 inches closer. These are estimations, I didn't measure.

If I do get a grow tent, I'm going to utilize crypto to buy it. The fact that I can do that is a dream come true for me, because I have always believed in crypto since discovering it, and so many people didn't believe me that it was headed somewhere.

I think the best is yet to come.

Thank you for stopping by, much love!

Hi Jake,
Your plants are thriving and looking very healthy. Now, what next? A bigger apartment? :-)

Hi Vincent,
Thank you for stopping by my friend.
I think a bigger apartment for the plants might be cheaper! (A grow tent) :P

I will have to think on it for a while :)

Have a good Thursday ahead.

My pleasure. :-)

Are you bored? Play Rock,Paper,Scissors game with me!

Do you need that many pepper plants?
Won't 3 pepper plants that have enough room make more peppers than 6 that don't?

That's a great point. I trimmed them down. To my surprise ,the pepper plants grow kind of like bonsai plants. It's easy to reduce the girth of the plant(s), while not reducing the integrity of the light absorption from the upper nodes.

I actually have ample room now. (have not made an update post yet.)

I might still get rid of half of the plants to make room for ganja more plants.

Right on, that's good news on all fronts!
Man, we've been eating the yellow wax beans as fast as they come in from the garden outside. I have 2 rows going and they're all producing pretty nicely. I'm going to throw in a late crop when I clear some room, so I can keep eating them into the fall. But it's supposed to be 37C here tomorrow (ie: sweltering!) so it won't be sowing weather. Beans beans the musical fruit! The more you eat the more you.... ;)
