The cable is really flat and will fit under a door and that is exactly why I bought it.
It's right there in the description! One person complains about not being Full Wire through but it is VGA; Several complain about failure but I have to wonder if it is put into a constant FLEX application which NO FLAT cable is really designed to do. Mine is fifty feet and "fixed" from a Security Cam System to the TV and after 3 months, continues to provide 1080p perfectly - as RATED in the DESCRIPTION. This is NOT an 'under carpet' solution. Mine goes around NUMEROUS devices both Computer & battery UPS with out any 'RF noise' as described by others.MORAL: My assessment is that if you use this cable for anything other than "intended", you use it at your own risk.
I'm sure folks can do better, but this is a nice flat medium, VGA cable ...Works as expected. Cannot complain about anything more than the price.

We use this cable to connect a monitor on a movable podium to the computer. The cable is tied in a bundle with a USB, MIC and power cable running from the podium. The cables are tied together so that they don't become twisted. The bundle is protected only by a split mesh cable sleeve. The podium gets moved around a few times a week. The cable bundle gets moved, kicked and even stepped on. So far it's been working fine.
Love the flat cable. It is easy to install and fits close to the wall. The only negative is that it's blue - I could not find a black flat cable.
I love that this is flat. It has to run from my desk computer to the projector and I am able to lay a heavy door mat over without it being raised so that my students might trip over it. It is perfect and practical for my needs as a teacher.

Bought this to use with my LG 34WK95U which has a reputation for being temperamental. I bought the monitor used at B&H for 500 bucks cheaper than new and was using it with this Cable Matters cable - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y1QP9FV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The Monitor and cable worked fine together, even thought the cable is rated for 4K, and the monitor is 5K-ish. Then the price of the monitor dropped to what I paid for a used item so I returned the used one and got a new one. The new monitor was blacking out using the Cable Matters cable. Basically the screen would shut off and turn on randomly. Using the 6 foot cable provided by LG fixed the issue but I needed a longer cable due to my desk setup. This new StarTech cable seems to be working just fine. Screen no longer blacks out and audio pass through seems fine. I can now raise my desk and not rip my display port cable out of my new monitor. All is good. Will update opinion if experience changes. Not sure what a cable is really worth but so far I'm very happy with this Display Port cable.
If you want to run 1440p in HDR, you must have a VESA Certified DP 1.4 cable.4 stars due to the price and lack of availability of a 6ft (2M) cable.I have a Samsung 27chg70 whose display in Windows 10 with HDR was horrendous.The monitor is powered by an Nvidia 1080 TI and the Nvidia control panel refused to commit 10bpc color at any refresh rate (thanks to the previous display port cable). In RGB mode, my text looked like 3-D without the glasses (red, black, blue all offset from each other).This cable fixed all my visual issues with the monitor and allows my monitor to properly display SDR & HDR content in 1440p @ 120 hz. You would have thought Samsung would have shipped it with an adequate cable....Despite the cost, get this cable, saving $5-10 isn't worth the aggravation of less than optimal display quality.
This is a thin cable compared to other VESA Certified Displayport cables, which is great.NOTE: I also noticed in the packaging it states full 20-pin connection (no problem for me), but read on the net that this is not recommended with some graphic cards/monitors.

Item as described and it's a very nice product indeed. However, if you have fat fingers like I do, this smaller style of VGA Cable is NOT the way to go. Dang near impossible to get it screwed in, because you don't have that extra little space, no matter how small like with the older and bigger VGA Cables. You will certainly need a tiny screwdriver to be able to actually get the screws to turn tight enough so they don't pop back out.

Needed an extension cord from my CCTV DVR to my TV and this did the trick. Wish it came in beige or white so it blends with the wall otherwise, no complaints.
The cable is fine for applications where you have a monitor that is 15" or below and runs in low resolution. If you are planning to run a larger monitor, like most of us do, then this product will not meet your standards. The result of coupling this cable to a 19" monitor running high-resolution are ghostly images. In short pay the 30 - 40 USD to purchase a thicker cable.
I need a Male/Female cable to use with a VGA extender. I didn't realize until I received the cable that the fastening posts actually prevented the cable from connecting because any VGA outlet would not accommodate that. I decided to take my chances with a hack saw and successfully (and easily) removed the posts from the female end. The posts are only needed if using as an actual extension to prevent the cables from being pulled apart. It worked great for my application.

I bought this so I could hook my laptop to my TV from time to time for virtual church and watching streaming shows. I have only had it a year and I have to hold the cable in a certain position just as it exits the laptop in order to keep the color from turning blue while I'm watching a show. Very disappointing that it has failed already.
I've recently purchased another computer with a different graphic card monitor output configuration and found myself with one too many HDI cables and needed a VGA cable instead to support dual monitors. I went with gold plated connectors(for the lack of corrosive properties) and this is the cable I selected. It's a great price and with Prime, came quick and set up was easy. No problems to report .
They work well haven't had a failure yet. Build quality is about what you would expect for the price. It isn't perfect or Monster Cable quality, but they do work and hold up well with daily use. A cable is a cable.

We have been using this cable since October 2015 as our line from our computer in back of house to the TVs in the front. After numerous functionality issues with many other brands, this one has performed exceptionally. Colors are clear and crisp with no interruptions in the signal. I have always been a fan of Monoprice's instrument and microphone cables, and this cable holds to that same standard of excellence. And for the price, it truly can't be beat.Bottom line: we are about to buy another one to have as a backup/travel cord. It is great!
