Today we are visiting Islay Isle of Scotland to meet Kilchoman Distillery.
It is the youngest distillery on Islay and the smallest distillery of Scotland, that was the 1st distillery opened for the last 125 years on island. Kilchoman is famous for its peated whisky, that is produced from the local Islay barley - a proud of distillery.
Kilchoman 6th CLub Release was matured in 5 former bourbon barrels. After a little more than ten years of maturation, this whisky was bottled as a limited edition of only 1,241 bottles with an alcohol content of 57.4% vol. All of the bottles were on sale exclusively through the distillery's web shop and was accessible only to Kilchoman Club Members.
