Hi Steemit friends,
For my entry today into the whiteiswhite challenge, I am sharing a photo that I took at the start of last week the day after we had gotten our second snowfall of the year. This time we got roughly 10 centimeters in total, which I'd say is the perfect amount; just enough to make things look very nice outside but not so much that we all throw our backs out from having to shovel tons and tons of snow!
This particular shot was taken right outside of my office at the University - certainly not the worst view in the world I'd say! It's especially enjoyable given how much the sun brightens things up as it shines right through the trees, illuminating the snow! I also threw on a black and white effect as I feel it really emphasizes the beauty of the white snow against the darker buildings and trees!
We've now had a few days in a row of pretty mild weather, so our snow is starting to look quite dirty - fingers crossed that we'll get at least a little dusting again sometime soon so that things will look this nice again!

Ah Canada, very nice. I'm from Bad Harzburg, that's in the center of germany, in the Harz. and that is about 20 minutes from Braunschweig (Brunswick, with Google- Translate).

Oh very cool. My family (many many generations back) is from Germany.
I've never heard of your town before, but that's one of the many things that I appreciate about Steemit - we get to meet so many people from such distant places!
Hopefully someday I'll be able to make it over there to Germany! I've always wanted to speed down the Autobahn!
