Just for fun, since I travel a lot, my personal tier list for Wi-Fi connections.
Tier 1: Perfect connection, high bandwidth (16Mbit+), very low latency, no ping spikes
Tier 2: Almost perfect connection, bandwidth can be medium, low latency, small ping spikes (up to ~100), disconnects or interference very rare
Tier 3: Acceptable connection, medium bandwidth, medium to high latency, common and potentially big ping spikes, disconnects might happen, but not more than about once a hour
Tier 4: Slow connection, medium to low bandwith and high latency, no stable ping at all, regular and annoying disconnects
Tier 5: Struggle to get anything loaded at all, regular connection interferences for multiple minutes
Examples:
Home Internet - usually Tier 1 to Tier 2
Hotel Wi-Fi - low Tier 2 to Tier 4
Mobile Phone - high Tier 3 to Tier 5, depending on reception
Bus/Train Wi-Fi - Tier 3 to Tier 5
Public Hotspot - usually Tier 3 to Tier 4
