The supermarket asked the mother-of-three to return the chocolates to the store
Mother-of-three Gabriella Ortutai-Hughes, from North Kensington, London, received chocolates after the Morrisons store in Camden didn't have the right size of meat that she needed for Christmas.
However, after the 37-year-old got the chocolates home, and her family had all tucked in - they spotted a maggot trying to wriggle its way out of a 'Fudge Duet'.
The Learning Support assistant said the experience was upsetting and that she was 'disgusted' at the thought her family may have unknowingly consumed other maggots.
Fudge Duet with a maggot: The critter can be seen crawling out of the chocolate treat which the mum bought from a Morrissons store in Camden
Ms Ortutai-Hughes posted a short seven-second clip to the supermarket's Facebook page with the caption: 'Lovely present I got for waiting one-and-a-half hours for my Christmas order which was messed up'.
'I still left the shop calm until today. Enough is enough.' The short clip shows a small wriggling maggot poking out of a fudge - in a half eaten box of Dairy Milk Tray chocolates.
