As much as it looks like that resistance of Ecuador is broken, eviction of Julian Assange from the Ecuadorean embassy in London is not a done deal yet. Why?
Basically, there is no human or divine law, that could be used to make an indictment against Julian Assange. as Annie Machon, former MI5 intelligence officer, explains:
“It's a quasi-secret that there's a secret grand jury trying to find any law, perhaps even make one up to prosecute him”
Making it up isn’t so easy, as it has been shown by the “unrelated court filing which have been made by mistake”, and revealed that the US may have secret charges against Julian Assange:
Duration: 6:43
There is only one correction to the explanation made by Annie Machon. On Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, D.C. Superior Court Judge Anthony Epstein did really dismiss the lawsuit of a three Russians (Mikhail Fridman, Petr Aven and German Khan), investors in Russian Alfa Bank, on the grounds of “public interest” and “the First Amendment regardless of citizenship or residency”, but the case is not closed yet, since the Plaintiffs have filed a complaints to this suit in D.C. Superior, and also brought similar complaints over the dossier in a New York state court and in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Both cases are still pending.
And while the opinion filed by Judge Anthony Epstein could be easily characterized as “inconsistent”, it still opens question: “if this can apply to a British former MI6 officer in the USA why can it not apply to an Australian publisher currently enjoying asylum in the Ecuadorian Embassy in the UK?”
Uprising? I doubt…
One more point that I cannot overlook. Under the news about Assange I seldom find comments like this one:
If 'they' do the wrong thing by Assange there will be a huge uprising…
No, there would not. There SHOULD be a huge uprising BEFORE Assange is extradited to US, because “the Empire” will not risk a public defamation at the Court. They will most certainly execute him in prison, like they did it with Slobodan Milosevic in Hague, in 2006, after he successfully refuted all the false allegations of the indictment. It was a “subtle” execution carried out by denial of proper medical aid despite knowing his condition. That must not be repeated with Assange.
His last chance could be 48 Tory letters of non-confidence to Theresa May, but unfortunately, there are only 25 of them so far…
Never forget: His voice is our voice
