You've got my attention.
For years I have been wondering who the hell this guy is and what about his strange monotonous speech.
On the other hand what person would let himself be locked up in a room in London and missing out on seeing his children grow up. Or is he copying his own fathers behavior.

    Thanks @rimke - I'm working on part 2 now. If you liked part 1 you'll like part 2. The story keeps getting stranger and there are more years where he seemingly drops off the face of the earth.
