This is a great example of the kinds of things that i think we should be more worried about. While these sensational, headline grabbing, war of personalities are going on in the foreground it's crucial that we keep an eye on what's happening behind the scenes. Especially stories concerning free speech (eg. anti-protest bills), weakening of environmental laws, all sorts of deregulation, etc.
We need to keep our eyes open for these kinds of things especially when 1 story is dominating the headlines.
