“Wikipedia is…broken,” controlled by special interests and bad actors, says co-founder

Wikipedia is broken.

The open source online "encyclopedia" turned from an information source to a partisan page for the special interest groups.

Even the co-founder agrees.

The site receives 33 billion page views a month. This makes it one of the most active websites in the world. There are updates every second with an average of 578 pages submitted per day.

Big Pharma is one of the controlling entities that acts as a bad player. Anti vaccination proponents pages are wrought with errors while those who support the measures are given pages full of propaganda.

This is another area where we are seeing disinformation, or at least a lack of balanced conversation, causing the programming of what people think.

It is no longer a mechanism that utilizes community knowledge to provide valuable information for everyone.

It is far worse than that.

Wikipedia has been taken over by a leftist group.
So, important people that are right of Stalin get horrible pages.
When people try to correct them, they are banned from Wikipedia.

Even the science pages are corrupted.

There are quite a few bad actors.
Where agenda comes before facts.

And this was known years ago.
They have not received any donations from me since.
