The mouse or the mouse deer is a common name for a group of mammal (mammal) animals with even nails belonging to the Tragulus genus. The pelanduk is a member of the Tragulidae family, closely related to deer and deer.

The clan's scientific name, Tragulus, comes from a combination of two words. Namely tragos, from the Greek meaning 'goat', and the end of the -ulus of Latin meaning 'small'. This corresponds to the state of his small body, which in adulthood is about the same size as a rabbit. The horns have habitat in the tropical rain forest of Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, and this animal is one of the world's smallest ungulates. In English known as mouse-deer or chevrotain; The final word is actually borrowed from the French language.
