Matricaria Chamomilla

Camomile is a plant of the family Asteraceae. The common ones are Matricaria Chamomilla and these are the ones shown in this content. The flower looks like a daisy... but smaller in size. This is a herbaceous plant that can be made into tea and tea drinking nowadays is very popular with the younger generations. It´s a trend that goes viral via internet because manufacturers associated the trend with health and wellness. It´s a marketing tactic, but it is helping the people become aware of their health.

They are in abundance in every parts of the fields near our home. And I think the farmers tending these fields are interchanging the seeds of the flowers they sow along the pathways every season. Sometimes the farmers add a bit of colors in between grown wheats... sometimes, they sow wild poppies, sometimes the blue corn. And the fields look so colorful and very inspiring...which make the whole neighborhood get out and take their walk along the field and breath fresh air.

In summer, there are plenty of these camomile in the field, I gather them and put them in the appropriate vaswithe like this bunch. I have two vase choices, the first one is a yellow/gray ceramic that is tall enough to hold the the gathered flowers. I also have the yellow glass vase which I´ve had in my former office. For this arrangement, I tried the yellow glass vase and I think the arrangement looked good with it.
